Two New Mexico Apartments Raided; Not Enough Meth For ArrestsALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico -- The Albuquerque, New Mexico Police Narcotics Team raided two apartments Tuesday morning, searching for methamphetamine labs.
The raids occurred on the 1100 block of California Southeast. New Mexico police temporarily detained four people while New Mexico officers in chemical suits searched the apartments.
They reportedly found remnants of a meth lab in one unit and a small amount of meth in the other.
Neighbors, including Bright Day Preschool, said they are glad the New Mexico officers cleaned out the places that of the chemicals that made their noses burn.
There apparently was not enough of a lab or meth in either of the apartments to immediately arrest the four people.
New Mexico investigators are to hand over the evidence to the district attorney's office for possible charges.
